Tucked within the architectural elegance of an original 1930's Art Deco building located in Sydney's eastern suburbs, our San Raphael apartment renovation is a quietly modern interpretation of heritage living. Designed with an ethos of calm precision, the interiors blend understated elegance with enduring materiality, honed marble, natural timbers, subtle pattern and layered textures creating spaces that feel both grounded and serene.
A muted organic palette sets the tone allowing the warmth and tactile nature of oak joinery, brushed metals and hand-made tiles to bring depth and character without overwhelming the senses. Pattern is introduced gently in tiled surfaces, herringbone floors, and soft furnishings. Artwork, featured throughout much of the interior adds an additional layer of visual interest and personality. Together, these elements create an eclectic richness balanced with a sense of calm.
Designed for modern life and in conversation with the building's heritage, San Raphael celebrates the apartment's character and that of its inhabitants through thoughtful transformation and sympathetic design.
