VAUCLUSE
C+W
TYPE: Residential
SCOPE: Interior Design, Furnishing, Object and Art
BUILDER: Capital Constructions
This busy family in Vaucluse had bought their run down 1970's home with an approval for an additional storey. Working with the builder Capital Constructions the clients required a full interior design service.
A reconfiguration of the bathroom layouts along with the selection of fittings, fixtures and finishes were made. An overall colour palette was developed around the clients’ love of white and tonal colour ways. The bathrooms became an exercise in sophisticated restraint using three tones of grey in tiles, complemented with stunning marble benchtops. For the lower floor a concrete style porcelain tile provides a cohesive flow from inside to out and maximises visual space. Furniture selection is a modernist delight with custom pieces from Hub.
To maximise street appeal a stacked silver limestone was chosen as a façade treatment to complement the crema marble tiles, connecting the inside to out. The result is a light, airy contemporary family residence.
